Default MTI Stage II ls6 heads C2 dyno numbers

Took the car to MTI for dyno tuning after their stage II ls6 heads and c2 cam package install.
The car is a 01 ZO6 with the following mods.
Underdrive pulley,Halltec intake,Shaner throtle body, tr60 plugs,Magnecore wires,Belanger long tube headers(no cats),heads and cam and LS1 edit.
After LS1 edit the car pulled:
426rwhp and 408rwtq. Car feels great, the only thing I might change is the idle, before tuning the car idle perfect at 800rpm,after tuning idle was set at 900rpm and also idles fine, but surges a little to 1100rpms when coming to a stop. I'm thinking of lowering to maybe 850rpms and quite it down a little. What do you guys think about my numbers?

I do have a question, how much power do you guys think I'm leaving on the table by keeping the stock exhaust. I been thinking on swapping my exhaust, but have no clue on the gains.

I think those numbers are pretty awesome. I dyno'd 408 rwhp @ MTI with my C1 and Stage 2 MTI LS1 heads. That car ought to fly if you can get it to hook.
As far as the exhaust goes, I'm a firm believer in a quiet crisp sound. I'm not sure what vette options there are , but an electic cut out would show good gains and is more affordable than a new cat back system. I do know that the X pipe has proven itself. I run the Dynomax ultraflow welded race muffler as well as a cut out for track use. Get that thing to the track and give us some track ETs. Congrats again!!!

Thanks for the reply James, Who sells electronic cut outs? Do they leak at all? I will probably get one. Your car performance drove me to choose this set up. You were great help by answering my questions in the past regarding the c1 and c2 cams. Power is great and the car is very tame.

GREAT NUMBERS and GREAT CHOICE! As we speak MTI is completing my 427 Ironblock Stroker for the Pewter/Black/Black Vert you may have seen in their shop, with new gloss black 6 pt roll cage which Speedwerks just installed. Did you see my baby which will be done this week!!!! I'M PUMPED!

MTI is putting in my electric cutouts and QTP is who they use, but currently QTP is back ordered about one months or so. As such, I went with McCords electric cut outs and Keith McCord set me up and got them shipped out to MTI very timely like he said he would.

I don't think your Z06 exhaust is hurting you that much but cuts outs for the drags should free some power up.

Best of luck and take car.

427 roadster, I did see your car there, and a couple more with MTI's 427 engines. Jayson fired up a yellow 427 Z06 with the titanium race exhaust system and it was sweet.
Your wait will soon be over.

If you want a different sound or look from your exhaust , then go with what you like. You aren't going to see much power out of different mufflers though. As for the idle , drive it for a while before you make any changes. Until the PCM "learns" your new set up , it will raise the idle when coming to a stop to avoid stalling.
