Default Stock cam HP dropoff

At what RPM does our cars stop making horsepower? Or significantly drop off. Reason I ask. And it is just for asking I did search didn't find a def answer. My brother had a 05 gto that we diablosport tuned. And after that it felt like it made power well past the stock rev limiter. It was a M6 very fun car. But besides the point.

Also when will our cars start "floating" the valves? Just have a idea in my head that may not even work.

I will venture out to say every car is alittle different were mine might pull hard to 6400 . others might stop at 6200 . alot of the dyno sheet i have seen say 5800 is were they start to drop

from the dyno's I've seen, around 5600 or so they appear to start valve floating. It may be some sort of resonance problem with our restricted (and asymetrical) restriction it the intake manifold, but the power drops off very quickly after it peaks, so I don't believe it has run out of cam by then, but the excellent heads are being held back by either the intake or exhaust. The 5.3 trucks make more power with (from what I gather) less cam. We have at least one limiting factor besides the cam. Also have not seen steller results with cam swaps on the LS4.

I thought fuel cutoff was 6100? Or can that be changed?

Quoted for truth.

We have enough cam and head to easily turn 6500. It's our shitty intake and exhausts that kill power over 5500. Also, I would be afraid to turn an LS4 accessory drive past the stock redline. It's just really funky and I don't trust it.

Well I will have access to a ls6 intake soon or so my friend says he is getting a different intake for his camaro. Then headers and just program for more revs. My car starts sounding like it is really starting to want to go then shift. same thing at top of second its like 'hey man alri....shift.' Have a son on the way so turbo is out of question just want a little more fun for the street so cam and **** are out of the question. However new springs if it would benefit to keep from floating wouldnt be that big of a deal. I have just a little over a year before warranty is out.

As far as the accy drive. Mine slips the belt at first to second and second to third shift at WOT. Belt look like it is in great shape so new tires will prolly come first, again.

My second was also really hanging up, it just seemed to take forever for it to shift. A good shift kit and a polymount really help the situation. My car felt so different after those mods.
