Ok I have a 95 Trans Am... I need a new dash pad..

I DO NOT have heater or AC in the car so I could care less if the vent on the dash pad lines up I just need to know if 97 and up will actually fit in mine? They are a lot easier to find than 93-96 pads...

I have did a search and get mixed answers...some say yes no prob just the vents and security light hole is different...others say that they are completely different...So hopefully someone can give me a firm answer so I can get one ordered...

dash pads are wack. just be a little creative and make something 10000x better.

That's not a 93-96 pad. The difference is the corner where the top of the pass airbag meets the section above the center vents. The earlier pad is like a Z with sharp corners whereas the newer is more rounded like a S. They'll swap but won't match up in that one spot

Mine is a 95 and it does not look like that at all...I think that bottom one is for a camaro or something... mine does not have that sharp point by the center vent mine looks more like the top one...

when I say dash pad I am not referring to a carpet dash pad...I am actually talking about the plastic piece of the dash that usually cracks....

Mine doesnt have sharp corners though?? maybe that is only for the camaro?

I believe there are only two dash covers for 4th gens. One with the point in the middle from earlier 4th,
and one from later
I know that at least for the late 4th gens, Firebirds and Camaros use the same dash covers. I have replaced two cracked Firebird ones with salvaged ones from Camaros.

As far as physical interchangeability, dash pads from 93-02 Firebirds and 97-02 Camaros will work. 93-96 Camaros have a completely different dashpad that doesn't interchange with ANY Firebird, or 97+ Camaro. The main difference in the 93-02 Firebird / 97-02 Camaro dash pads are the colors. 00+ Can come in ebony or graphite. 93 to 99s had graphite.
