Yet Another GXP Tire Question(s)
What are the widest tires I can squeeze on my front 18x8's and rear 18x7's? I thought I saw someone running 275's up front/255's in the back..
Also wondering, if the 255's DO fit on the rear rims, would an all around 18x7 setup be okay? Would that mess with anything? Would really like to be able to rotate tires, and I can easily trade my fronts for a set of rears and some $$.. I just don't want to spend any extra money or time trying to get another genuine Alcoa set of 18x8's.. Anyways, thanks guys!

I was looking at a few set of 275's, but all seem to say the minimal rim width is 9".. Is that just a set IDEAL thing, or will they not fit? Also, 275/40/18's? or 275/45/18's? Was looking at the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110's.. Nothing but good reviews and their cheap! But once again, it says the 275's will only fit 9"... :S

Awesome, man! I really appreciate your quick/helpful responses! Gonna finally get rid of these home-made slicks.. Lol.. I got about an inch of snow yesterday and these tires won't let me go past 1800 rpms.. hahaha.. Turning is actually unnerving.. Anyways.. I'm sure, even though they are labelled summer tires, they will have much better grip than the current bald setup ..

Oh for sure.. But if you seen my tires now, you'd probably suggest drag slicks over them for snow driving.. Lol.. Summer tires or not, anything will be an improvement.. Winter rims/tires next year.. This year, simply can;t afford it... Or that oil spray I wanted.. ... My poor baby, she needs $$

Will going from 255/45's to 275/40's mess with my speedometer at all? If so, how much? I can handle a km or two for ever 30-40km/h.. But I don't want it to be off too much for obvious reasons.. And will this be harder on my tranny as well?
