Key chip ?

if they are less then helpful, just look at tables get resistors for each value and try em all, i think if u get it wrong you have to wait 15 min or something, so not the end of the world but still a pain

So, I take it that you haven't picked up the car yet?
You'll need to have someone registered with GM as a locksmith to look up the chip code. They will have to do the same with the key code. It could cost you $50+ once you pay for the chip lookup, key code lookup, and have a new key made.

Cool - So if you had the VATS disabled in the PCM, then you shouldn't need a resistor chip for the ignition, right?
If you don't have the keys, your best bet is to pick up a new ignition cylinder at the autoparts store and install it. (If you have the tools, it will probably be less expensive than having a dealer look up the key sequence for you.)
