What thread sealant
Hey guys I am gona try and replace the head gaskets before I need shoulder surgery. What thread sealant do I need for the head bolts? They are ARP head bolts and summit sells this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARP-100-9904/ Is this little tube gona be enough or do I need a couple of them or should I use something else? I am tring to get all the parts from summit since I have some summit bucks. Thanks

Liquid Teflon Pipe Sealant w/PTFE is what you want. Tube might not be enough, but a local parts or hardware store will have what you need. The stuff is really cheap.

I have had a tube that size of "GM" thread sealant for over 6 years. I still can't seem to use it all, despite having been in tons of engines and using it all the time. If you use the whole tube on one LT1 head gasket swap, stop drinking the ****!! It isn't good for you!

This why I was asking... Seems when My father tried to help me out and put the heads on for me and he missed that part about the thread sealant and now it has started to leak into the Cylider some how. It's not in the oil yet but I am going to pull them off the begining of next week so I take pics of what happens when you don't use it lol.
