Default Color-matched the stitching on my steering wheel...

I installed a Personal steering wheel in my car last month. It's black suede with blue stitching. It looks great, but there was one small problem - the blue stitching didn't match the other blue trim inside my car. It was just a little too light.

I went to an arts and crafts store and picked up a fabric dye pen, and started coloring the stitching.

Here's what it looked like before:

And here's what it looks like now:

The difference between the two colors:

The finished product:

Before and after, with the wheel installed:

I wonder if you could completely change the color because I want to get the same wheel but they only do blue, yellow and I think red stitching which doesnt match anything for me. I would prefer a dark gray stitch or just black.

Do you think I could do that with they dye or would the color be weird?

It would probably be easier to dye the stitching black. The gray probably won't be dark enough to hide the color.
