Got the V dynotuned today.

Got the V dynotuned today.
I took the Caddy up to a local shop called AED last weekend to do a few pulls to see what type of power it was making, & what the A/F ratio was at. After we made 1 pull, I was very shocked to see that the car was only making 382 rwhp/363 rwtq SAE, & it had a EXTREMELY lean a/f ratio of 14.8 at WOT!!!!
Needless to say, the car was tuned incorrectly by a very popular shop that shall remain nameless, so it was time for a new tune. I then called Mark Romans who is a well known local LSX tuner here in Norcal & today he tuned the car at SVS R&D in Sacramento. On their superflow dyno with Mark's new tune, the car made a best pull of 420 rwhp/393 rwtq. I am very pleased with the numbers, & not only that, but the driveability is a million times better than it previously was with the old tune.
Just as a refresher, the only engine mods are a Flowtech Cam (228/232 duration. 111 LSA, 612 intake/600 exhaust), B&B 1 3/4 Longtubes, B&B 3" catless exhaust, 30lb Ford injectors, & a drop in K&N filter.
Videos will be up shortly...

The new a/f ratio is 12.7-12.8 across the board.

Good numbers.
Just curious, why leave the shop nameless? If they can't tune and/or won't stand behind their work, in my opinion post it up so others don't make the same mistake.

Thanks. What type of dyno did you get your numbers on?
Thanks. I'm no expert on the subject, but I was told by the tuner, & countless others that GM cars run a higher fuel pressure than Ford, so 30# Ford injectors actually =36# injectors on a GM. The current injectors are only at 70% duty cycle, while the stockers were maxed at this power level so they worked out great.
Thanks. I would rather not bash any shop on the net because I personally didn't do business with them since I purchased the car with their tune already in it. I thought the car ran great, but once I put it on a dyno, I noticed the tune & a/f ratio was all out of whack? I called the shop & they offered to take a look at it, but if I needed a retune, it would cost me $200. Plus, its over 100 miles from my house & I really didn't want to drive that far untuned with new plugs & larger injectors. If anybody wants to know the name of the shop feel free to PM me & I will gladly give you the info.

the front 02's were disabled and was running in closed loop at all times. 16.8 A/F part throttle. It was tuned 100 miles away from where we live, with almost identical altitudes.
No excuse for that ish.... Lol
