Default ebay roller rockers - good buy?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-1...Q5fAccessories

I realize you get what you pay for. but theres some good buys on ebay. for my DD that 90% of the time takes me 10 mins to and from work do you guys think these would hold up ok? I'm not gonna be turning 7k all the time or even 6 for that matter. just seems like my only options are going to be these or some aluminum ones. I Just think the stainless is a way better choice. my friend gave me his old hotcam and i'm trying to get parts together as cheap as possible. bought a set of used ls7 lifters and plan on ordering alex's lt4 spring kit off ebay as well. also have a obd1 pcm with an lt4 knock modual thats already tuned for this cam. i figure i'll download the trial version of tunercat just to correct gearing and such. hopefully i'll end up under the $500 mark when im done. what do you guys think?

I'll bet they are junk. esp if they are pro comp. you can get some nice 1.6's from summit for $200.

hard to tell but those look like NSA rockers, meaning you will also have to factor guideplates and hardened pushrods into your budget.

definately look nice, if others have ran them with no problems go for it.

They do look good. But, rockers are something that can break and cause mass destruction inside your engine. I think thats something I wouldnt want to cheap out on.

Funny you say this and a Comp aluminum roller rocker has split on the end... not really a cheap rocker! just goes to show that everyone has a few that don't live up to the reputation.

They work just fine. They make about as much noise as any other roller rocker and have no problem seeing 6500 rpm.

Thanks for the replies. We all know each brand has had there own issues and thats to be expected. For some people, like me for example, it's either cheap crap like this or nothing. Theres no money to save for something better as it will take all I have and more just to complete the cam swap with cheap parts. I know this isn't usually the way to go but I have the bug and can't just leave the car alone when theres a cam sitting in the closet waiting.

Btw they are NSA and I have pushrods as well. Just not sure exactly wut they are as they were in a rubbermaid container when I got them. Buddy has since moved and I dont have his number so I can only assume.

If they truly are good rockers great, but wtf would you sell them for 80 if they were the same as a 350 pair. I just don't want to ruin a set of heads over some ebay rockers. Jesel and T&D didn't get to where they are at by selling 80 dollar rockers.

But why would I buy from these no name guys if they were 2 or $300 when I could get ultras for the same price? Big names have big mark ups and thats all there is to it

The reason Big names tend to have a higher price is that they might have a few more "steps" in their process to final product like a more thorough clean up of the parts and maybe more attention to product looks.

a street DD car that only see's 6000 rpms these would be fine for. Just give them a good clean up, and install them correctly. I'm NOT a fan of aluminum rockers at all.
