You will still want lower controll arms and a better TQ arm. Your times will depend on how big a stall converter you get and how much nitrous you run. youll be deep in the 11's without much trouble. If nitrous interests you do some looking in the nitrous section. You definately want to go the the auto transmission section and look at some converter info, It will really wake your car up

well if you buy the parts and give me a call I can help you out installing the parts that way it would cut the labor cost. I have a shop and a lift and a big yellow tool box. In other words I am a auto tech in frederick.

Agreed. Stall and s/c would be my choice, espcially since he's just starting out and doesnt have any mods yet.

if you just want to go fast in the 1/4 you dont need alot of power; new stall and a few bolts will go along way.

if you want a no hastle high power setup, i'd go s/c. h/c + bolt ons make great power but if you have 5k to spend you can get h/c power without any loss of driveability you get from big h/c setups.

cruise through the FI and educate yourself.

I would go:
Torque converter- $1000 w/install and shift kit (3600+ stall)
LT headers- $550 Pacesetters or Hookers with Y-pipe (anybody can install these)
TNT F1 nitrous kit- $1000 with all goodies like heater and purge (install yourself)
Drag rims/tires- $500 for some boneyard 16"s with sticky rubber
Drvieshaft loop- $75 (just in case)
T/A rear girdle- $200 (may hold the 10-bolt a while with an auto)
Cutout- $75 installed

Put your parts on yourself. Once you know how, you'll never want to trust anyone else again!

hey slow, would you really help me out with the install on some stuff? i dont really know much about everything but i deffinately like to learn if thats what you ment. but if i got a s/c i would really only trust an ati procharger.and what kinda power would i have and what kinda 1/4 mile times. i know that without building up the bottom end i should run aany more that like 8 or 9 psi. thats what i heard anyways. i would also like some et streets or something like that but im afraid my rear will go the first time i use the car. my car has no traction right now. if i put it in first( i have an auto) i will spin until i let off, so id effinately need some tires. and with the stall do you think i would brake something first time out with everything combined?

heads / cam / spray / exhaust
probably good for about 500rwhp
the rest for suspension and chassis parts

I'm sorry, but I haven't seen an LS1 supercharger yet that was worth the money for how much power it put out, especially compared to the nitrous systems I've seen. My buddy spent $5,000 on a procharger, and made 380rwhp from a "stock" 320rwhp. It's funny that his $5,000 procharger won't do what my $320 NOS 5177 kit will do. Plus, he had to pay to get it installed and tuned. I installed my nitrous kit myself in three hours and was ready to go.

I'm not saying that the superchargers aren't any good - just that I prefer N20 as the best bang for the buck - ESPECIALLY if you aren't going to run the dog out of your car (I haven't used nitrous in over a month).
