Is it on the ball that fits against the Y-pipe?
Post a photo if you can, that'll help.

I would still contact the shop you purchased them form and ask them.

Doesnt look right to me. i dont see how that would seal properly to the y unless the y had the same dent but i doubt it. i would call them! ive actually been looking into getting these so im curious how things pan out! good luck!

The y pipe actually looks pretty good, but don't have the same dent...I also think I would have a problem with them sealing...I called the customer service from were I bought them and they had me email them the pics.....said they would contact bbk and see if this is normal, if not they would get me a new set no charge......Just have to wait and see I guess..

I know this thread has been dead but i ran into the same problem with my BBK headers. I brought them to class and showed them to my aviation maintenance instructor and he said rent an extender from an auto parts store. Well i did and it took the dent out in seconds!! Its a bit that goes inside the exhaust a few inches, then you torque it with a long screwdriver or wrench and it will push the dent out. Just a heads up to anyone else in the future that runs into this problem it will save you from making another thread with no answer!

i just installed the same headers and mine definatley didnt have a dent .. and white hawk- i love them they are quality headers and ground clearance is better than factory. were very easy to install. only problem i had was the bbk stamp on the y pipe was upside down!

That is not normal at all like previously stated they were probably dropped. They are awesome headers by the way with great ground clearance and easy to install.

Me and my friends installed them in 6 hours at a shop with a lift and a whole bunch of tools and beer. She sounded nasttyy with open headers it made me order some dual 2.5" cutouts for when i get a tune later this week. I suggest getting the expander and opening up the flare on the collector to make it a few 1/16's bigger. Every little bit helps and it didnt leak when we attached the y pipe. I agree fitment was great and buying the ceramic ones keep the heat down and increase header velocity by retaining heat. Deleting EGR, cats, and the air pump probably saved me 100 lbs too and a few volts bc the air pump isnt operating haha
