I have a ls2 out of a tbss that i recently bought a ls6 intake for. I dont want to use the dbw tb and was wondering which tb i need? i would like to use a cable if possible. Can i just use the ls1 cable tb? The motor is stock except for the intake and headers. Thanks kevin

You can use a camaro throttle body or go aftermarket if you are going to do mods later on. Remember that the LS2 Throttle body was bigger than a Gen III LS or Vortec TB.

Would I lose any power going from my stock tbss ls2 to a ported and polished ls1?

If you're thinking about swapping your ls2 heads for some p&p'd ls1 heads then that would be an *** backwards move. Your stock tbss heads are better.

The 98-02 Camaro throttle body should work fine.

I misinterpreted the ported and polished comment as being in reference to heads instead of tb, sorry for the confusion.

There are some ls2 dbc aftermarket tbs.
