Whatever you do have a friend hold the header up while you get the header bolts in... I tried to do it myself last Saturday and will be removing the head tonight because I cross threaded the bolts

I got the car up high and took off the oil filter and Both slid in from the bottom I have kooks though so your install maybe a little different.

Good luck! Its REALLY easy getting the old stuff off just soak all the exaust bolts down with wd40 first. I didn't even remove the coil packs or spark plugs (well I did remove two spark plugs on the drivers side)

There are several write ups out there on it. You should find them and read them thoroughly if you aren't confident that you know how it should go in advance. Do you have all the parts that you will need? Will you be doing it on a lift?

Having a buddy to help is very important, as is taking your time. Here's a couple of quick notes from my install:

The back coil pack bolts are a pain. I left the last drivers side one on and tilted the coil pack up out of the way. The last on one passengers side takes patience to get out, and I didn't even bother putting it back in. The factory bolts have locktite on them, so they will have some resistance coming out. Take them slow until you get a good feel for them to be sure you don't strip them. I reused my stock header bolts, but cleaned them off with a wire brush and used a little antiseize on them. If you have compressed air you should be sure to blow out the bolt holes in the heads. Some clean up the threads with a tap, but I did not. Torque the bolts in two passes (11 and 18 ft-lbs) from the center out. The last passenger side bolt and spark plug are easier to get from the bottom (easy to reach with the stock cats off). The bolts holding the cats to the manifold are VERY tight.

That might have been a little rambling, but I hope there's some stuff in there to help.

Gear wrenchs will help out a lot, it makes it easier to loosen and tighten all the bolts, since you don't have much room to work in.

i used a dremel tool, i bought cutting discs from home depot, if you dont have a dremel or a saws-all you can rent one from home depot also, for the steering shaft there are two bolts, one right next to the firewall and one right where the shaft goes into the rack remove both and you'll have to yank up and down on the shaft till it comes loose, GL!

i just put my headers in this weekend. they where flp's and fit in like butter.. no notching or grinding of anything. the old crap will take the most time to remove, just dont get frustrated, if possible spray all the bolts down with wd 40 the night before. and just take your time.. that is the most important thing, remove all the plugs so u dont break them and remove the coilpacks if you can. i couldnt remove mine (thank god i have skinny hands and forearms) because i couldnt get to the back bolt. you will definatly need someone else to help you. also just beware, sometimes the catbacks dont lign up to the y pipes well. if that happens take it to your local mieneke or midas and they will fix it for you. its no biggie.
