Who used there stock flexplate with stall?
I've been told you can use the stock flexplate with my stall. Dave from Yank says the 98-99's have a better flexplate. But others tell me not to use the stocker. So who all has a stocker with there stall and how long did it last?

Probably not what you want to hear, but $150 is cheap insurance imo.

I had to change mine with it being an 01 and Im glad I did because there was 3 cracks in it. You have the FP from the better years so it safer than mine would have been. But dosent mean your safe. Shoot, who knows if im safe. I used a ls3 FP for my ss3600.
Did you actually inspect the FP when you did the install? Mine was starting to crack at 3 different places. Each crack was on the teeth above all 3 holes where the TC bolts go through.

Ya, I looked at my stock flexplate for a VERY long time. Looks brand new. Couldn't find anything wrong with it. I guess if it starts to chatter I can always replace it. The trans is all back together now. I only have 50,000 miles on my car.
