3.73's and SS4000 in my cars, not daily driven but are driven almost everywhere they go. They sixty great for what they are (heavy) and I personally wouldnt put anything less than a 4000 behind an LS1 with a stock or mild cam.

4000.
The difference is going to be minimal, as in you will never tell, under normal driving conditions. At wot there will be a nice difference. It will sixty harder as well as having better shift extensions. The trade off is worth it.
I don't know anyone that went 4000 and wished they went 3600, I know tons that went 3600 and first drive wished they went 4000.

Yes sir, I have posted that over and over and people dont pay attention. A 3600 is a nice size converter but if you aren't spraying or fi, why not go 4000 for the added performance with a tradeoff you will never notice?
Justin, look at his mod list.
3600 will make you happy, until you ride in a 4000 car.

Yep Lemons is right op. But sometimes you gotta live and learn. I was worried even the 3600 might be to big at first. Lemons and others were saying go with the 4000! I tried staying conservative just in case and here I am thinking I could do 4k easy. Im also on 3.23 gear so its even loser feeling than 3.73s would be. I originally wanted a performer like the pt4000 and now kicking myself. But hey, this trans wont last forever (almost 100k) so next time around for me.

Never had a problem with it. Not saying it won't go but give it a little bit of credit.
