Default dropping ls1 from bottom

I've found a really good write-up on how to drop the ls1 from the bottom but I've come to one last question that doesnt' seem to be in it.

The fuse boxes on the driver side...do they come out the bottom with the engine or is there somehwere to disconnect them. Once I have that question answered, everything else is ready to go and in a reasonably easy and quick manner. I know it's not done yet, but so far I'm a believer.

thanks in advance

Fuse box stays in the car. The wiring harness comes out with the motor and k-member. You should only need to disconnect the positive battery cable from the fuse box.

Yep fuse box and all related wiring on that side of the car stays in. The big alt wire, rear 02 wiring, front driver o2, and ground strap is all that needs to be removed on that side.

I just did my first ever engine removal last friday with my 02 z28. I spent most of the time labeling all the plugs and putting bolts in bags labeled. I was lucky and was able to use the forklift and marble slab extension from the stop next store to mine. I learned everything on pulling a engine here.

main things to watch for are, Grounds,Brake lines for the front, They will get tangled if not undone an streched out, Also if transmission is still in watch for shifter cable, they hang up pretty easy, so have eyes on all four corners if its your first or second time doing it, ive done it several times, an matter of fact tonight i installed another engine in a 00 z28 an bolted the kmember on with the brake line wedge in it, So good thing it was getting a abs delete anyways, !!!!lol
