Somebody talk some sense into me....
As much as I thought I loved my SS, i've been looking at other options lately....I have test driven the new camaros and challengers....obviously the power doesn't compare to mine since the mods but I just love the challenger....I've got a OZ700 clutch, FAST fuel system, CME, Kooks, and other mods sitting in my garage that needs to be installed on my SS but I just don't have the motivation anymore, my eyes have been wondering lately.....what's wrong with me? I need to fall back in love with my Camaro, how do I do it?

Its tough man. My dad has a 2010 SRT 8 challenger and I LOVE that thing. It just feels so refined compared to my car. Tight, no rattles, 6 speed is as smooth as silk, great power... they are heavy though... But it's something I could get used to lol.
WHAT THE HELL AM I SAYING!!! Dude, get the mods on the SS.... DOOO EET you will love the car again.

I wouldn't mind having a Challenger at all. I think they're great looking cars. Maybe a bit heavy, not the fastest and a bit expensive but I wouldn't feel bad about owning one.
I've done stuff like that before and maybe not right away, but a year or two down the line and I end up regretting it. I always find myself getting back into an f body.

The way I always fall back in love with my car is to do a mod.... Just do something to the make it faster, handle better, or look better. thats all I ever do cause I fell the some way sometime I have looked at vettes and a 05+ GTO.

Nothing wrong with moving forward on getting a new sled to mess with but consider this.
Keep modding your SS and pretty much smoke either of those new Camaros or Challengers OR get you a new ride which you'll probably be spending $40K and have the latest of the greatest!
I had a 07 SRT8 Charger and I totally loved it except for the monthly payment. The Challenger SRT8 is freaking nice all around car in looks and performance.

At some point you're going to get over the "gotta have the fastest car on the block" mentality, and you're going to want something unique, different and cool in a new/retro kind of a way-the Challenger does that perfectly. Is it the fastest? No, but who cares because it looks great and still has a lot of grunt. I don't know about you but I don't live my life a quarter mile at a time. I leave that stuff up to John Force and the guys in the SRK section...

I drove a Challenger R/T it is a really nice car, I like to call it a gentleman car its fun and smooth, but there isnt much power. My Camaro only has a 5.3 cause I blew the 5.7 and there is no way the Challenger can hold a candle to the acceleration. As far as being a DD it would be perfect, but not if you a fast car. Do the mods and then see if you like it you a;ready paid for them.

I'm not spending 45k to go out and get beat by some punk teenager in an LS1 f-body. If its not fast enough for my taste, and I can't afford it and the mod money to make it fast enough for my taste, I won't buy it. And, I also wouldn't spend 45k to get people to look at me. That's lame.

Will never forget the look I got when I beat an LT1 corvette in my old 1989 Iroc-z. Guy looked like his dog just died or something.
I will say though, those Challengers are mighty sick imo.

What you can also get for $4x,000:
lighter than an f-body (about 1,000 lbs lighter than the new challengers), runs high 11's from the factory (instead of low 13's), and style, well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Me personally, I like basically ALL the new stuff that's out, but I freaking love my SS for what it is.

I would keep the Fbody, unless you really want to spend the money on a newer car. I was thinking about selling mine and getting a cobra, but for what I do, cruising and the occasional street race, it does it well. There arent alot of cars out there that will touch mine.
