Default How much power am I leaving on the table?

With the 1998--- 806 heads vs the newer 241's? I will be doing a 224 cam with the ls6 intake at the sametime. I dont have enough cash right now so I cant do anything to the heads

The 243s are worth a minimum of 25 additional RWHP with that setup.

So on stock interals its not noticable? Maybe I should at least have them ported after the cam/intake.

243s are the "ls6" type heads and are worth doing

241s (the newer ls1 castings) are not going to be a noticeable improvement over what you have

Just trying to be clear which you are talking about.

I pulled around 388 rwhp with a 228 cam , ls6 intake, and TSP headers and Y-pipe with the stock 806 heads.

I got a set of 243 that I'm about to put on and hoping to break 400 with them.

On stock internals, it's still worth 20-25 additional rwhp. This morning you mentioned 243 castings (then you later edited your thread to say 241 castings). Going from 806 castings to 241 castings is a waste of money as they flow very close to the same.
