The cost: (payment instruction below) Early Registration (before October 1st) is $37 ($35 by check) or $50 after October 1st for car and driver which includes a free Eastcoast Shootout T-shirt and lunch at the track! $10 for spectators which will be payed for at the track. Please DO NOT send payment for spectators
The East Coast IRS Shootout includes all LS based IRS cars.

This event will determine the king of GM IRS as well as the king of each model for our region. The fastest car is not always the winner and thus the reason for crowning a winner. Track days are all about having fun and that is the goal for this event. If you have never been to the track this is the perfect time to come. Bring the family and your car and get ready to have a great time. Who knows you might just take home a nice trophy or a great prize. The worst case senario is that you will meet some great people and take home a cool t-shirt.
Payment Instructions- To make a payment using Paypal, log on to the Paypal site and send your payment of $37 to username tlwsaw2@bellsouth.net. Please note your name and screename, model of car, shirt size, and an emergency contact when you make a payment. If you would like to mail your payment, send a check or money order for $35 to

I know there were a couple of things that needed to be addressed from last year including the concession stand fiasco. That will be a focus for the track and I to improve on. If you have any concerns, I urge you to send me a PM so that I can try to make things better this year. Any Questions?
East Coast Shootout Race Day Schedule
MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING-9:45
T&T and grudge will start at 10a.m.
Qualifying will begin ~12:30-1:00 There will be 2 qualifying passes. Every car will need to run a qualifying pass. These 2 passes will determine 3 things;
A. The quick 8 competitors
B. The king of each class (GTO, Camaro, G8, Corvette) The quickest E.T. from the qualifying rounds will be the "king" of their model. Passes during T&T do not count.
C. The reaction time prize from the DSS will be awarded from the reaction times during these qualifying rounds. Make these two count! The racer with the best reaction time during qualifying will win the prize. In the event of a tie, the two that tie will run heads up with the best reaction time of that pass taking the prize.
Final Eliminations and bracket racing will begin immediately following the qualifying rounds.
All times are subject to change. Make sure you are listening to the track PA for announcements.

Basically there will be two classes, a quick 8 and a bracket racing class. If you are not familiar with bracket racing try this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bracket_racing If you have any questions about bracket racing feel free to ask. Basically, bracket racing puts every car on a level playing field regardless of E.T. and gives everyone a chance to win a trophy. Every car is eligible for the bracket class and is encouraged to participate.

Drum roll please.................Frank at the Driveshaft Shop is giving away a 9" conversion to one lucky attendee at the East Coast Shootout this year. Every year Frank has been very generous with his prizes. This year he has gone off the deep end. Here is what's up for grabs.
