i read in the sticky that is requires 18" wheels and spacers, i dont want to ditch my Z06 wheels or offset my wheels with spacers, so i was just hopping for a bolt on upgrade. i know the C5 brakes fit 17" wheels but i think my sloted/drilled rotors and HPS pads to that would not be such a good up grade.
if the CTS-V brakes do fit, do you know who else has put them under 17" wheels?

You would probably be best off going with a C5/6 conversion kit (non-Z) or if you dont mind spending a bit more for a 4 or 6 pot setup, Wilwood or Stoptech would be my #1 choices.

It usually does fit.. Especially on stock (style) wheels.
The brakes are worth it though.. Most people will spend that much money on stuff to make their car go faster, hell a good braking system IMO is worth more than that, unless your just drag racing and trying to stunt.. lol.
I love my Wilwoods!
They even fit under my 17" Enkei Win's which are notorious for not fitting bbk's.. The 12.2" kit JUST barely clears them, but they work great and still offer much better braking over the stock system.

My $0.02
Before you start throwing large amounts of cash at your car by replacing the entire brake system, upgrade your pads and see how that works - I just installed EBC Yellowstuff brake pads (front and rear) and all I can say is WOW!
