Back to the 4x4 look
I swapped my Eibach pro-kit out for Strano springs this weekend. I was going to leave it in the air until i recieve my kooks true duals this week (I hope). But I couldn't wait, so I just went outside and put it back on the ground. WOW! it looks like stock springs. I don't think it helps that a have a MWC 9", I know that brings the rear end up like 1/4" give or take, and negative pinion angle also brings the rear up alittle. But the front is noticeably higher than the Eibachs. Oh well Atleast I can fear speed bumps less and not bottom out as much, and the strano's will give me alittle more room for the kooks pipes to go over the axle. The strano's did provide a slight rake with the front being lower than the front (so did the eibachs) but again, I know my rear end comes into play again. How much to strano springs "settle" I know they are said not to sag, but do they settle at all with some driving? Strano Pics to come tomorrow

Also that is FAR from the stock 4x4 stance... Look at what my car looked like when on stock springs vs strano springs:

Not entirely true. Let's say you jump from a 17x9 to a 18x9. The recommended tire of choice for the 18x9 is a 275/35R18 which is the closest to stock. The 18" tire choice is actually smaller than the 17" (25.58" vs 25.66"). Rim size alone is not the deciding factor but tire size is.
That's why I went with a 295/40R18 (27.29") to fill up the wheel well area.

I'm doing a mini tub next month in preparation for some wider tires. I'm looking for a set of 18x13 to put on next spring. I'm really considering the 18" WELD RT-S with high pad clearance, but I wanna see them on another f-body first, if anyone would ever order them!
