Default LS2 Cam Sensor

Im just trying to figure out where the Cam sensor is at, and if its difficult to replace. Thanks

If you look at the front of the engine from underneath, it's at about 10:00 held in with a 6mm bolt. It's close to the water pump but should come out no prob. 3 wire connector.

Does it matter if its a gto or corvette? bc i dont see it from underneath.

nope, doesn't matter, it's on the timing cover.

Like Transam above showed, it is in the front cover, towards the driver's side of the cover. Why are you replacing the sensor? What symptoms are you experiencing?

For the past 3 months my GTO has had a problem of shutting off as soon as i turn it on.. it doesnt sputter or anything it just shuts off.. I have to set the alarm on then off then it would start. Now it doesnt start at all it just clicks like if the baterry is dead.. i have changed the battery and nothing.. still clicks like if it was dead.

well, that probably has absolutely nothing to do with the cam sensor.

I would bet against a cam sensor issue there. Do you have a "security" light lit-up on your dash gauges?
