If you want to create your own shifter, go for it. This model has a remote shifter and a goofy crossmember mount.

Couldnt u replace the shifter from a t56 and use the same cross menber from a t56? I thought the out side was the same just different internals? Thanks

Using a shifter from a T56 on a TR6060 requires replacement / modification of the tailhousing and internal shift linkage pieces, not to mention the mainshaft. Your $2250 trans. just went over $3000 if you're having a good day.

Google pictures of the 2010 Camaro trans.; it's pretty apparent how different the output, tailhousing and shifter are.

I bought mine pretty much brand new (very few miles on it) from a guy in Houston for far less than that. You are better off with a T56 magnum at that price.

Like jmd said, you will have to use a T56 tailhousing, and swap shift rails, and the mainshaft with a T56 magnum mainshaft (31 spline, and have to trim it since it is about 2 inches longer than a T56 mainshaft). The slave cylinder is also different, and the bellhousing is also the front cover, so you would have to use a LS3 style clutch since the input shafts are longer. Oh and new tailshaft bushing and seal.

My 6060 converted to fit my TA:

What it was stock:

Also, the way mine is now converted, it is about 3/4s of an inch longer than a T56. Here are some dimensions:

What does the tranny mount look like for the Camaro TR6060? Will the S&P T56 crossmember work? I bought a full 2010 Camaro drivetrain without quite realizing that the mount was different. If the mount is in the same place I can probably work something out to mount it.

Is there any chance of mounting that factory divorced shifter in the tunnel of a 68 Camaro? How far off would it sit from the factory shifter location? Looks like almost 10" from what I'm looking at now. I'll do the tailhousing/mainshaft swap if I have to, but I'd like to avoid it if I can.

The driveshaft I can have fabbed locally.
