Default Car feels slower than I should be

Alright so I have had my car for a little while now and over that time i have gotten Longtube headers, catback exhaust, 4:10 gears, and a tune. and my car doesnt feel like it should with all that done. what could be the problem. as far as i can tell the car is runnning nearly perfect. never has any hard starts, never cuts off, doesnt missfire, no signs of anything wrong...except it being really slow

Run it at the track and check your plugs.

False knock from the headers hitting some where? only thing I can think of that you would not notice would be it picking up false knock

Well, only way to tell, take it to the track and see what it runs, race another LT1. take a video of the speedo at full throttle and post it up. Based on your very specific description, no one is gonna be able to tell you anything or help. dont know what you want really....

When's the last time it had a tune up? Fuel filter plugged, dirty MAF sensor, weak O2 sensors, air filter...

OR dyno it....You could/should get a dyno tune anyway with your mods....that will tell you (and the tuner) A LOT about the condition of your motor. My cam only LT1 was a turd on the dyno (241 RWHP)....but after doing a leak-down test showed no issues...put in new plugs and BAM! 311 RWHP with just new plugs! Don't forget the simple little things....they can and do make all the difference in the world.

the plugs are recently new from when i put the headers in. fuel filter could need to be replaced. it only has 62,000 miles on it
and at the track i could only get it to run 13.6 at 104mph

Looks good for exhaust, gears and a tune. Although with that trap speed you should be well into the 12's.

idk about WELL into the 12's at 104... maybe lower 13's.

also depends what his 60' was. bad 60' could've helped his trap speed

If I can do it at 3900 lbs, an F-body should be in the 12.5x range. He may of had a bad 60' but that's why they make D/R's and suspension parts.

104 is enough for the average LT1 to hit 13.0

You could hit 12.5@104, but that would take a HELL OF A GOD DAMN LAUNCH.

I don't know where you get off acting like mid 12s should be normal for that trap.

I've run 12.8x's @ 104 for so long now, it just seems normal to me.

I would say you have something holding the car back up top then, I agree with those saying 104 is good for low 13s.

Far as the OP I am NOT a blind fan of dyno tuning as most are. My car is not dyno tuned and seems to work OK. The tune may be worth looking at though, just because it is tuned does not mean it is tuned well, even if the tuner is a good one mistakes happen and some of the popular tuners are not consistently good. One in particular occasionally gets one or two cars that will be noticed right and completely screws up a LOT more.
