Question question about wiring the purge solinoid

Hey guys, I came up with this diagram and wanted to run it by you guys first before I set it up. Will this diagram be ok? If not, what will be better? Also, what is the best wire to tap into for the power supply? Thanks!

As long as the solenoid does not require a relay that will work just fine.

.

I would prefer the purge run off the N2O system main on switch.
It would suck to lose a bottle or get a face full because someone leans on or shorts the push button.

The purge I have is one of yours. Its the big show one. After doing a little digging I think it does need a relay. Is this correct? Any info on the relay and wiring will be awesome. Thanks! Sorry Im a noob when it comes to nitrous.

I run the little baby solenoid, so I just use a push button, with the power coming from my switch panel.
Any other solenoid, I would definitely use a relay, but I did an amp draw and it was tiny, well under the switch ratings

That is a pretty good point. I have never had that problem and over all of the recent installs we have our switch panels so they do not really get "bumped". Also the bottle is usually closed. But I do agree that is not a bad way to go ahead and do something more "correct".

Cool

.

I'm not in a real car, (Pro-Mod, Top Sportsman) and the purge is on the column, so when I get in or out,
take the wheel off, I hang it from the column, and it can hit the button.
Plus I think of & worry about every little thing most of the time.
I just like the piece of mind, and safety to know if someone is crawling around, nobody will get a face full of N2O.

Just add a relay onto the hot side and it will work great...

You can wire the power side through the master arm like stated above if the push button will be a location that may get hit... If it is out of the way I wouldn't worry about it..
