Default Cheaper 4' maf housing/ls7 sensor option

instead of buying a tsp, lingenfelter, etc. maf and housing I went the cheaper way.... spectre 4' maf housing 9705 (34.95), ebay ls7 maf (49.95), and an ebay pigtail (21.95)....ends you with this

Not bad at all. Why didn't you go with the 85mm 5-wire MAF? I originally planned for the 75mm because it was powdercoated to match my TB, but after trying to find a space for the IAT I broke down and got the 85mm.

Because the 4' pipe is close to 100mm which is what I needed.. Inlet restriction KILLS power.

What size is your lid and TB? Or, whats your setup, boost? I can't see crap in your picture.

Very nice! I spent the $250 on a TSP, but thought it was probably cheaper to make... is that the sensor the TSP and Lingenfelter units use? How well did it tune?

I see so you've done away with the lid and located the air filter outside the engine bay for cooler IATs?

Does the housing have rolled beads on the ends? I guess for NA, no care, but for those coming in who may be running FI. Good find.

i found some pics of the "9705" spectre setup. doesnt look like it has rolled ends...but i dont think it would be hard to score a few grooves in the ends...or put a bead on it. not to mention if you use 2 clamps (t-bolt) it should hold plenty of boost.

How hard was it to get the airflow tables dialed in?
