Default New Monster Lvl. 2 Came in Today

*Update in last post* Clutch is finally installed!

New clutch came in today. It's the Monster Level 2 F-Body Direct fit package w/ Lightweight Flywheel and Remote Bleeder. I can't wait to get it installed and have the car running how it should again! I'm really excited. Clutch is good for 550hp/tq

Customer service was also great, and I had a very pleasant experience purchasing from SNL . Thanks for all your help Chris!

I'll post updates for when it's in and how I like it, which I'm sure I will. Anyone else have this setup?

I just bought the same setup for my LS3 setup. I am swapping this motor into a 72 Vette so it will be a couple of months before i actually get to drive it. My clutch disc looks a little different than yours though.

Cool! Should hold up nice, that's going to be a sweet car.

And Blackbird, that is weird. Hmmmmm. Monster can you chime in on this?

These are both Level 2 discs we were experimenting with segmented disc and they're both good to 550rwhp with the same driving and coeffiecent of friction. They literally only look different, even the life expectancy is identical.

Dang I was hoping I accidentally got a stage 3 lol. Why experiment with the clutches if they're the same?

LOL, we had a couple of people get a little worried by the way the disc looked (segmented). While it's 100% proven some just want a full faced disc. Either way, it'll be a butter smooth clutch with -zero- issues in both holding capability and engagement.

Is it smooth or does it chatter?

Chatter in first, when it wants to, real smooth through all of the other gears. I read that it's normal as the disc is trying to to rest itself into the flywheel or something like that

This clutch shouldn't chatter, if it is there may be a little contamination on the disc/mating surface. Depending on the severity of the contamination it may or may not go away after 500 miles. Typically our Level 1 and 2's do not chatter from the start...

Give me a call and we'll go over some things with you.

Our level 2 looks different than both the posted pics?

I was getting chatter, but it really smoothed out in about 250 miles.

Wow here is my monster stage 2 disc. Still different than the two posted. Ive had it installed since April and love it! Awesome driveability with a ton of grab.

I'm curious though. SNL, which design do you think is the best? When I bought mine, it was the "brand new design"

What the heck? I feel like mine isn't gonna last due to the surface area compared to your guys' discs. I have high hopes but all these different designs concerns me
