FAST intake manifold help
i have a 2002 trans am ws6 with just a magna flow cutback exhaust.
over the winter I'm going to add Kooks long tube headers with the ORY pipe
also plan on doing a couple more light mods
i want to add the FAST intake manifold and throttle body though and they only make the 102mm's now, i feel thats to big for my car I'm keeping it as a daily driver not going to crazy but just wanting to really add a little more horses. Is there any comments about the 102mm??
i was really looking for the 92mm but i can't find them anywhere, also does anyone have any comments about the 92mm versus the 102??
also if anyone has any of these for sale could you please message me.
thanks a lot guys!

The 92's are very hard to find. Watch the classifieds closely and have money ready in your pay pal account. LOL. As always make sure someone isn't trying to scam you. I had a FAST 102 but sold it and picked up a used 92.
With the 92 you can resuse your injectors and injector rails from your LS engine.
With the 102 you either have to grind the **** out of your water pump or by a later model pump from a LS2 that is cast a little differently.
With the 102 you either have to buy their fuel rails or get a LS3 style(and possibly a LS2 style) fuel rail.
There was a really really good thread about the 102 about six months ago. After reading it I picked up a 92. It bolted on with no hassles. I had to change the steam tube out and that was it. Reused my injectors, fuel rail, bellows, everything. It wasn't worth it for me to keep the 102.
I will try and find that thread for you.

Here it is.

Bayer started it, one of the best threads on here in a while IMO.
Here's another thread that's helpful too.

Agreed. A 102 mm manifold with a basically stock engine isn't going to net you any horsepower. As he^^ said you'll need a cam and heads. I still run stock heads though so it isn't a must to run the intake, but you wont get full potential out if it. Im also cammed so I really need heads.

thanks for that 102mm thread website
i feel like that 102 is just so big for what i plan on doing

Like I said I could be wrong. It does seem like a lot of intake for a stock engine. I've seen a bunch of dyno threads on here but who knows if they are skewed or not.
I know some people push the 102 but those people also sell those intakes so it makes me question the validity of those statements.
After being a member on here you can see who makes power and who throws parts at ****.
When some people make 430-440rwhp consistently with the LS6 intake its hard to justify the cost of a FAST. Hence why I said I would do things over again or will do things differently for my next build.
The cost of the FAST 102 is stupid in my opinion with having to change the fuel rails, injectors, water pump etc. It's not worth it. That's why I got rid of mine.

I'm within this week buying my kooks LT's with ory pipe, getting a fast throttle body and slp lid, i wasn't sure just with bolt ons if the intake would be worth it or not thats why i created this thread. in the future (by time summer hits again) i hope to be having a mild cam installed too. don't know if buying the intake now would be beneficial in the future for me though

How long has this been known for?? My first 102 cracked on the water pump and they assured me it was from my nitrous plate contacting it, and that I was the ONLY person who had waterpump clearance issues.
