Yeah even a stock car will pick up from a tune but being as your set up isn't going to put out "Outstanding" numbers Id would just get a mail order tune and you should be more then happy with it

I had my tune done by MadTuner.com cheaper than pcm4less, infact pcm4less are the most expensive, so i dont know where the "4less" comes into play. Check them out 1st.

I would still try to find a dyno. You put a lot of time and money into your engine why not get the most out of your work if you can. I have had a few different mail order tunes and I have had problems with all of them.
If you cant find a dyno, you might want to try LT1pcmtuning.com For what it's worth I have never had someone help me figure out all the problems I have had for so little. He has a few different options and a laptop loan option if you don't have one to data log.

Just googled dyno chassis in northern Ohio and there seems to be a few of them in your area. Not 100% if they all do lt1's though. but if your serious it shouldn't be too hard to find one.

Your an idiot dude.

He just did H/C, its not like he just threw on a cold air intake. Who cares about numbers he might see, its about how his car will run and drive on a daily bases. Not everyone drives WOT 100% of the time. Atleast they will be able to see whats going on with his car instead of a guy guessing how a car will run. Not saying mail orders are "bad" but i would think he could get more out of it and peace of mind with a dyno, or find someone to drive around the street and tune it that way.

According to Comp Cams, the 502 requires custom tuning and upgraded exhaust. At the very least get mail order. For even more power and driveability do a dyno tune. You'll just have to call local speed shops and ask if they have experience tuning LT1's.

LOL so 150 for a tune

Or 400 plus for a tune????

You can datalog and send it to your mail order tuner there you "idiot" so not sure where you are going with this kinda like you said I was wrong then backed up that I was right with your comment "Find someone to drive around the street and tune it that way". Its not like he's adding a Huge custom cam its a BABY cam he is clearly not interested in performance or he would have not went with that cam.

Pretty sure Joe picked up less then 15 HP on a SERIOUS H/C/I set up over a mail order tune to the dyno tune.......and COUNTLESS amount of people are running mail order tunes and running good numbers.

So you calling all them idiots ????

I've read people gaining 30-50 hp from a dyno tune over a mail order tune. Even if you only gain a few hp it is still more power that you didn't have before right??? I guess some people just make sooo much hp that they don't care about every last bit.
