Default Swift Motorsports Hide-Away License Plate Holder

Has anyone tried this on their F-Body? I live on Long Island and we need a front plate, but I cant stand the big chunk of plastic over the grille to hold the plate.. Link below:

Yes, similar setups have been around since F-bodies were "new" including motorized ones. They get scraped and damaged on driveways/dips - especially if you already scrape the bottom of the front bumper on things.

Default Update with pics

Yeah my bro has been running that license plate holder for a while on his Camaro. However he does not have it mounted dead center due to the Camaro's pointed nose has a bad tendency to scrape when pulling up driveways or driving through dips. Therefore he mounted it more towards the drivers side. Ill post up pics for ya later on to illustrate what im talking about.

I'd rather scrape the license plate than the paint on the bumper lol

looks like a cool set up. I would want the motorized one for the back lol

I have the non-motorized one on my car. Mine is also offset to the driver's side. You wouldn't want it to be centered because it will stick out further due to the point in the nose.

It is AWFUL mounted center. When it's "closed", the corners of the plate stick out.

Also for a Trans Am, why not just devise a way (VELCRO) to make the stock license plate cover quickly removable. Looks way better with the plate in the center and not on some weird bracket that scrapes the plate up...

For cops to aim laser/radar guns at, and for traffic cameras to read your plates. They do serve a purpose on the front of the car... For the bill collectors. I mean, law enforcement.

i stick my front plate in the window on the passenger side, I have little suction cups so it sticks to the window and is easily readable, technicly I COULD still get a ticket for it but most cops see that I actually tried to put it on and make it visible instead of not running it at all. But I will NEVER put it on the front of the car and will just pay the tickets, if it really becomes a problem I will just rigister my car in another state, I am in the army so I will just give a reason to license it in another state
