Exclamation camaro ss 2001

hey everybody i own a 2001 camaro SS and my engine just broke down so which is better rebuilding it (overhaul) or shell i change the engine ...

1. Timeframe for needing it back to working condition
2. Budget
3. Power goals

Answer those three questions and we can give you an answer back.

1.its my weekend car so im not in a hurry
2.im from bahrain GCC so my budget is 1300$ and its enough to get another engine or to overhaul it .
3.my car has a full boltons pullys,headers(american racing)catback(corsa) ported throttle intake+filter(slp) MSD wiring ... in aug 2012 ill get a ls7 but i want to race really bad and my budget is very low atm lol

If you're getting a new engine in aug 2012, then just do a basic rebuild and save the money for that.

I agree with these guys, just rebuild it and wait for the motor in 2012. Its not that far away at this point.

thnx guys i think i made my choice another question im running out of clutch and GM is too expensive like 976$ and i found A ACT clutches for like 617$ both are without flywheel if i ordered them itll coast me in almost same range for shipping any1 can help ?

go with the clutch that fits your cars goals....dont run an under rated clutch in a high horsepower car.

i would look into MONSTER clutches btw.

Ls7 clutch kit w/ flywheel

This is what I'd be looking at for a budget medium hp car. For something more than 450rwhp I'd go with a monster clutch for a couple hundred more dollars.

save your money, and get a real mans clutch. for half the price. get a sintered iron disk. Will handle plenty of power and and will kick ur leg in the *** and give you the amazing race car feeling.
