1997 Cobra vs 1994 Z28
No drama racing, FTW

Both drivers are chomping at the bit for dig races, so rematches are pending.

The 97 cobra beat the LT1 from a roll. The 40mph roll could go either way the 25mph roll the cobra won. 3rd race the LT1 got a great jump. Cobra had an intake and catback (2 worthless mods), the LT1 had 3.42's, EWP, DR's, and a catback.

I'm surprised it was that close, but 4v Cobras are tricky. One really needs to be "open-minded" about rpm in those. Pretty solid video.

Didn't? Did your vid drop run 2? The 1st was about even. The 3rd race was too, but the Z got a great jump. Even so, the Cobra totally stopped his pull. In the 2nd race, it really was all Cobra, from a great start till the end. Seemed like the honks came from the Cobra for 1 and 2, and the Z for 3.

- First run was pretty much dead even, literally going back and forth by a fender every gear.
- Second race the Cobra got a good jump from the Z28 sleeping and put maybe 1.5 cars or so on the LT1 when they let off, still slowly pulling.
- Third race the Z28 got a jump from the Cobra sleeping and put about a car on the Cobra before it stopped the pull and just BARELY started creeping back, but not nearly enough to catch up.
Great races. Without tires the Cobra's gonna be in trouble from a dig, I think, but should be a driver's race once he gets some drag radials if he can launch it. I'd give a slight edge to the Cobra overall for these roll races, but from a dig might be different. I know how hard that Z28 goes from a dig. Should be fun!

It's the blind leading the blind over here...
The cobra got a bigger jump in race 2 than the Camaro got in race 3... yet you were too blind to notice that. Take some of your own medicine, thanks.

Did you watch the video? Of course you did and with that, you saw what everyone else saw.
As indicated by video testimony...
What did he say that made anyone think he didn't notice? Was it that he didn't specifically talk about it, and if so, why would he, specifically? It was obvious.
The Cobra got a bigger jump in it's clear victory round... The Z got less of a jump in it's win, but unlike the Cobra, TOTALLY FAILED to pull away. That's the point most are noticing. When the Cobra got the better reaction, the race was over, period, end of questions. When the Z got the jump, we had to sit there and wonder if it would extend the lead, which it absolutely didn't... What else do we need to know?
Sheesh... It's just a video and still, some people want to brawl about it...

I just reloaded the video in HD
In the 2nd race, the Cobra got enough of a jump that we thought he let early and in the 3rd race the Z28 got enough of a jump that we thought he left early. After watching the video after the races, we saw that neither had left early and both were on point for their respective wins.
From what I saw during the races, the Cobra is the slightly faster car from a roll. Dig races should be interesting.
Lol, I raced a guy a few times that had a stock 96-98 Cobra when I had my 1994 Trans Am (stock) and he would always walk me a bit. After the races he told me that my car was a piece of **** because my motor was alot bigger so I should have won. I was like, "the extra 30 hp your car is rated doesn't matter I guess?"

I bet you were scaring him from 0-50 though, when his car finally starting MAKING that added power! From 0, most 96-98 Cobra drivers would have their hands full with an LT1 4th gen, at least until they learned when to shift that high revving pig!
