will Z06 valve springs work on LM7 heads?
Found a guy selling brand new Z06 valve springs for good price. I'm building a 5.3 with an LS1 intake and a new cam (haven't decided which one), etc, with the hopes of 400 hp. I realize I'll need to have some work done to the 5.3 heads including springs that can take more lift. This guy claims these Z06 springs can take lift around 575.
Will these springs fit my heads? Will they be sufficient for most decent cams? Any way to tell if they are Z06 springs by looking at them?
Thanks as always for the help.

I believe there were two different ls6 springs...blue stripe and yellow stripe
The GM performance catalogue or website should have pressures and specs.
Not sure how many aftermarket cams will work w/them as they are designed
for the GM cam. Call Texas Speed for verification.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Found out they are the yellow ones. Looked at several cams out there, and these springs should work fine for me. I'm going to buy these. Thanks again!

Are Z06 springs meant for the lighter sodium filled valves? Will they give
you the seat pressure you want with a heavier valve and more aggressive
cam? Just because they come from a "better" motor doesn't mean they're
better for you, necessarily.

I figured I would go with a cam similar to stock Z06 for lift. When I looked up cams on GM performance parts site, they referenced you needed the yellow valve springs, but did not specify the sodium valves. I hadn't thought about that.

seat pressure and spring rate are what ultimately keep the whole system
in check. Aftermarket cams make their power by way of a faster ramp speed
compared to even a GM hot cam....so picture the lobe kinda kicking the valve
train...hence an aftermarket spring is far more adecuate.
