Default Chucks tuning...

Friend of mine is about to get his lt1 trans am tuned there. I had found this thread the other day and I was wondering if this is still true. That "you get what you pay for" with tuning. I just recently got my first ls1 and from what I've read here LMR, ARD and G-force are the best place to get a good tune at. Here's the old thread I found.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/texas-mem...rs-tuning.html

I'm just trying to convince my friend not to go there

I don't know his experience with lsx cars but when I had him tune my lt1 a while back I was far from pleased... just so happened his a/f ratio meter quit working that day and needless to say tune ended up being way off... on top of that burnt up one of my pcms luckily I had an extra with me. Car varied almost a full second from summer to winter and this was suppose to be a bracket car lol

iv heard alot of bad stories about him but to tell the truth, he tuned my cam only 6 speed car pretty much guessing. (had a bad opti, thought the cam was too big to run on the stock tune). it drove awesome when fixed. when i went back, owen was only able to get 12 rwhp better than chucks by ear tune.

on the other hand, he also told me the reason my car was missing and running like **** was all my pushrods and valves wer bent.

Just take it to LMR and call it a good day. Also Auto Adrenaline and Pavlock = winning.

The funny thing is, everyone on ls1tech and their brother used to praise that guy and his old shop (HPE) for about 2 years straight.

He must have lost a popularity contest at some point. Maybe he got caught hanging out with a nerd after school or something.
