Weld in SFC vs. bolt in.......
I see some people say both are equivalent, some people say to only go with weld in.
I like the idea of having them be removable if they need be, and this also isn't going to be a 800hp track monster, just a fun street car.
What do you think?

I went for bolt in for my car. It's a dd and I just wanted some more stiffness. I also wanted to put them on myself and since I dont know how to weld, I only had one choice. I bought the UMI 3 points and they made a world of difference.

We prefer and recommend weld-in subframe connectors. In all reality there will probably never be a time that you will need to remove your subframe connectors. They are tucked up out of the way and there is nothing that they will get in the way of that you should ever need to change out. I had BMR boxed subframe connectors on my personal Trans Am for over 6 years and they were welded in and not once did they ever become an issue or even remotely need to be removed for one reason or another.

Although weld-in could possibly provide incrementally better performance (probably unmeasurable), bolt-ins could be removed if you sell the car. Six of one, half dozen o' the other as they say.
And yes, if you're feeling adventurous, grind the powder coat off the edge, prep the frame til shiny and weld away.

We helped a guy install some bmr on a 00 trans am putting in some poly panhard bar it was the wrong length and shifted the rear end to one side. So he sent it back and ordered on from umi worked great so i am trying to get complete umi suspension on some yellow konis 4/4.

I bought bolt ins for these reasons:
1). I can remove them if I ever want to for any reason (sell them, sell the car, upgrade to 3 point, ect whatever)
2). Although welded may be "stronger", like mentioned above its pretty much unmeasurable and I have yet to see a case of bolt in ones breaking.
3). Not that it matters but I can go back to original, with an "unmodified frame"-this is a big deal to some people, and dealerships as well
4). I can always weld in the bolt in SFC's if I wanted to, so theyre held in really good
