Question What do you think about this combo.?

I have a 2002 C5 with an A4 (obviously). I am in the process of installing several mods on the car such as: ported heads, TR224 on a 114 LSA, Dynatech LT headers and catted x, 3.42 gears, and a TCI torque converter.

What stall and diameter would you go wtih? Its not a drag car, just a street car in need of some more power. TCI recommended an 11" 2800 stall. I just wanted some more opinions before i dropped the cash down.

I would get between a 3000 and a 3500 if its not gonna see the strip. Anything lower you might be disappointed.

So the SSF 3800 is a street friendly converter? I was thinking that 3800 would be too much for a car that only sees the track a few times a year..

good. enjoy it. driving a high stall on the street is an aquired taste...its annoying for a few hours but you start not to notice it at all after awhile so don't worry about streetability too much. you've got a good choice for street cars there.
