If I turn on ac so fans can come on, it won't overheat. if I can figure out y the fans don't kick on with out ac then I fix my problem... How can I check if my pcm is good anyone? And its got a new cooling temp senser to eleminate that.

There are alot of possibilities as to why the fan does'nt turn on ,,,,,but the most likely causes are in order 1. 1 of the fan fuses 2. 1 or more of the fan relays ,,,,,I believe those cars have 3 fan relays controlling 2 fans 3 fan switch in 1 of the heads (looks similar to temp sender) and actually may be the sender and computer that controls the cooling fan in question 4 cooling fan motor is bad You can check You're PCM by using a wiring schematic and locate the wires from the PCM to the fan relays and check for power and if You have a repair manual for the car in the engine cooling section they tell what the different resistances are through the temp sender for different temps ,,,,,so for a temp over 200 read the coresponding resistance and get a resistor of that value or really close and unplug the plug to the sender and put resistor in touching the wires ,,,,turn ign on and check for 12 volts as described earlier .

The fans usually come on in low speed-both running in series. This seems to not be working in your car. A third relay does it and is fed with a 10 amp cooling fan fuse under the hood. The 40 amp cooling fan fuse under the hood is for the high speed. If both fuses are good, swap around the relays.

If the cap is fairly old replace it ,,,,,,,,but if the weather where You're at is kinda cold then You probably have an issue like head gaskets or cracks and/or warpage ,,,,,,,,,how far can You drive with the a/c on ?

Um I went 10 miles other day with ac on no problem cuz fans were running but if I turn ac off where fans stop then it will heat up in under 2 miles . Im going to be working on it checking dif things u all suggest my 2001 camaro works fine so Ima swap all 3 relays see if it changes anything ... I unplugged temp senser turned car on and fans were on hi don't that mean pcm is working.

That would be assuming You turned engine off before temp reaches 240 or 260 or You would'nt ?

Just a little FYI aluminum heads warp way easier than iron heads so to be as safe as possible You want to either leave it running if it is'nt too hot like maybe 220 max ,,,,,leave it running and take cap off with a rag and be careful just take it off slowly then pour water and/or coolant in stopping for 3 or 4 seconds say every pint or so so You don't crack anything but if it's hotter shut it down for sure wait a few min the carefully remove cap and very slowly add water/coolant ,,,,,,,,,,with engine not running there is more risk of cracking something so maybe every half pint stop adding for 5 sec or 7 sec and watch out cause it may spit violantly out of hole .

The cap pressure has nothing to do with the fact that your fans aren't coming on.

At highway speed, the fans do not run as the car's motion alone puts enough air through the radiator to keep things cool. Unless the A/C is on or it's running hot.
