pcv from ground up
few years ago i ditched my pcv system. i wanted to get rid of all those hoses in my quest for a nice looking engine bay,
i had run breathers before on my older US cars, and never had any issues, and i cant realy say i have any issues w/the breathers now, i can feel a little smell when the car idles, but no moisture in the oil, and no blue smoke
what worrys me though is the pressure in the block, and possible powerloss?
i gave my pcv system to someone else, and my ls1speed valve covers have no connections for pcv hoses,
i've bin thinking of getting a catch can, and make a new pcv system, and as i dont have the old one, i need to do this from ground up,
is it enough to get some caps in the holes the breather where in, and route a hose from them to the catch can, and connect the catch can to the throttle boddy?
any ideas gladly accepted,

this is clearly the thing to do,
my car is made in 97, probably with the earlyer ls produstions, but i have a 99+ style block, do they also need the trimming?(trimmed)

You need do this to pull the crank case pressure/vapors out.
IMO, you'll need to drill and tap a hole in the top front or rear of the drivers side valve cover then install a 90* fitting (with 3/8" barb) of your choice, then run a 3/8" ID oil/fuel line hose to your catch-can, then into you intake. Now for you fresh air inlet remove you current breather and replace it with a pvc breather(w/3/8"barb) .I used a Earl's Performance #3434114ERL and I removed the pcv valve(any equivalent breather will work). Now you'll want to run a length of 3/8" ID hose from the TB fresh air outlet and attach to to the 3/8" barb on you new pcv breather.
That's it you're done!
Here's mine but I do have the LS6 valley cover, and I run 2 catch cans.
