Default pcv from ground up

few years ago i ditched my pcv system. i wanted to get rid of all those hoses in my quest for a nice looking engine bay,

i had run breathers before on my older US cars, and never had any issues, and i cant realy say i have any issues w/the breathers now, i can feel a little smell when the car idles, but no moisture in the oil, and no blue smoke

what worrys me though is the pressure in the block, and possible powerloss?

i gave my pcv system to someone else, and my ls1speed valve covers have no connections for pcv hoses,

i've bin thinking of getting a catch can, and make a new pcv system, and as i dont have the old one, i need to do this from ground up,

is it enough to get some caps in the holes the breather where in, and route a hose from them to the catch can, and connect the catch can to the throttle boddy?

any ideas gladly accepted,

what i would do is swap to the LS6 valley cover, that way there you get rid of all the hoses(that you currently dont have) and just run a catch can between the valley and the TB.

I'm not sure about your block, but if it does it's pretty easy with a dremel. I circled the area that needs trimmed.

You need do this to pull the crank case pressure/vapors out.

IMO, you'll need to drill and tap a hole in the top front or rear of the drivers side valve cover then install a 90* fitting (with 3/8" barb) of your choice, then run a 3/8" ID oil/fuel line hose to your catch-can, then into you intake. Now for you fresh air inlet remove you current breather and replace it with a pvc breather(w/3/8"barb) .I used a Earl's Performance #3434114ERL and I removed the pcv valve(any equivalent breather will work). Now you'll want to run a length of 3/8" ID hose from the TB fresh air outlet and attach to to the 3/8" barb on you new pcv breather.

That's it you're done!

Here's mine but I do have the LS6 valley cover, and I run 2 catch cans.

that sound like what i had in mind, the valley cover is a good solution though, but boring to get the intake off to install it,

You don't have to change the valley cover, I don't think my LS6 valley cover did anything(oil in intake)except remove the hose from the driver side valve cover.

pm sent.

Yeah, if that's what you want, it shouldn't be a problem.
