need a tune for my stall. just wondering whats the difference between getting a tune for my stall and a tune for my engine. I already tuned the car for my mods but now i need another for the stall. is that the same? does it cost less to tune for the stall since i already had everything else tuned? any help would be great!

There's a computer for both the engine and transmission. A good 'tune' most likely includes both, but you can certainly tune one or the other.
If your engine is tuned well, then you can just tune the transmission for the stall change and it should be cheaper obviously as the tuner is only doing part of the work.

Every tuner charges different amounts for retunes. Did you call the person that did it the first time? If you where a customer of mine, i normally dont charge for retunes, But again every shop is different.
Something as easy as a tc change shouldnt be a big deal though. It is only about 30 tables to be fixed.

You would have to adjust slipping tables.
TCC pressure tables/ "depending on clutch type of coarse"
Some TPS tables.
Some missfire tables,
some shift points and tcc lock up points,
Sometimes timing.
Sometimes line pressures.
Delete a few slipping codes.
Change some TRANSMISSION DTC ACTION peramters.

Wow thats more than I thought. I noticed that since my tune the transmission would do a WOT downshift and then go right back up instead of holding the lower gear. do you think it was a programming issue from my tune or do you think my tranny is not holding and needs a rebuild?
