Maybe Chris will chime in here but I actually may be going with a 2.100 valve according to my price sheet. Maybe they changed it to the 2.08 valves?

Mike,
You are getting 2.100 intake valves. The flow numbers are just a little better up top.

Vince, you got to promise not to use the nitrous if you and Mike go at it. Mike doesn't have nitrous

Mike K. is getting sprayed because I weigh 70lbs more than him I will however give him the opportunity to feel the wrath of my next NA setup as well.. Hmmmmm. This should give AP some incentive to churn out some AWESOME power for you Mike K. This is not going to be a APE against FUTRAL race, but somehow I think both tuners want to come out on top. Two friends racing setups from competing LS1tech vendors. Mike K. and I will make sure to get the race on video for sure.

Either way these are really some awesome numbers from your 6ltr S2 heads, Congrats on the new port design.

Jay you can ride with Mike K. to even out the weight difference. I am sure both combo's are going to be similar when it comes to core parts used, but internal parts are going to be different from what Mike K. has told me and from what I am reading. Things like compression, tuner, cam and ported heads will be obviously different. Mike K. and I both want a TRUE street car with the ability to be a weekend warrior when the weekend comes. Allan Futral knows what I want and Chris@APE knows what Mike K. wants. Are the goals the same? Possibly.. I know Mike K. and I want bragging rights. So let the wrench turning begin.

Vince, no Futral vs. APE, just some good old fashion ribbin between me and Allan and you and Mike. Good luck with your combo, you chose a good guy to build it!

I know Chris@AP-Engineering this is not a competition between APE and Futral Motorsports. This is more about Mike K. and I finally getting what we want setup wise. All we could talk about coming from Futral Motorsports last week was our cars. I bragging about FMS and Mike K. bragging about APE. The race between Mike K. and I will basically boil down to who is the better driver and who has done their weight reduction homework. I am sure APE and FMS will deliver the best setups they can for what we are paying.

I have only one real question??? Why 2.10 valves for Mike K.'s heads when you are putting in 2.08's for others? This is the first time I have seen someone go so big on the valves of a 409ci.

Now back to the awesome flow #'s of APE's 6.0L heads.

Vince, Mike is getting the bigger valves due to the fact that he was the first set of our race 6.0 liters. We were trying different valve sizes to see which one would be the best. What we found out was that there was not that big of a difference between the 2.08 and the 2.100's. The 2.100's flow a little better up top but not that much. We decided to make the rest of the heads with the 2.080 to help with guy's that might want to try them on smaller bores. That's all.

Mike, These are going to run $2199.00 with no cores needed. I have 10 sets of these in process right now. Who's going to be the first 10 people to get them??

If you guy's have any questions just let me know.

Thanks,

BTW, these heads have a 237cc intake runner volume. I know some of you were wanting that info.
