stroker motor
i am thinking about building an lq4 with a 4.00 inch stroke crank is there any clearancing that will need to be done to the block or special cam that will be used. i have built several big and small block chevys this will be the first ls style that i do. thanks for any info.

Its not that different, you dont have to run a special cam lifters or anything like that. Some aftermarket stroker kits actually have the clearance built into them. I clearanced my block for the crank, but My rods were not an issue at all. You will need to space your windage tray up, I just used washers. Be sure to get a cam and heads to take advantage of the build, that will make the most out of the extra cubes.. Hope this helps.
