I haven't read a dyno result yet, but I know some had cracking problems from porting.

Someone once said a Cartek ported LS6 was worth ~7rwhp over stock.

The porting should pick up some cfm so my guess would be 5-8 rwhp with a ported LS6 intake.

BTW - Absolute offers a 78mm TB and 80mm TB. Absolute can port the snout of an LS6 so you can use the bigger TB to best advantage. Absolute also can port the intake.

Any way you can take some pictures? Did he open the ports, runners, TB opening, or all three? I heard from Rapid motorsports that porting the TB opening has caused weakness is that area because it's so thin, and when it cracks you have a paperweight. 5-7 hp from the increased flow sounds realistic, maybe a little more on H/C car I would imagine.

i havent been convinced that porting the ls6 intake is worth the money. from the cost of a ls6 intake and porting you could get an ls6, which although the results have been kinda varying, has still proven to provide decent gains

I am waiting on mine as well from Jay. What sold me is he ports the intake to match the heads for the best flow. He will also flow the new heads with the ported intake to get real numbers on your individual setup. And I chose to get the 78mm tb as well as it is port matched to the intake. You know what they say about having performance parts that work together. I think this should do that indeed.
