-another- Speed Inc. TT Typhoon build
We were approached by the owner of a stock 93 Typhoon about building the truck and retaining the 4.3 V6.
Since Dan Marks (lead tech/fabricator here) had already built himself a twin turbo LS1 powered Typhoon that consistently runs 9's on pump fuel, it wasn't hard to show him the advantages of switching to LS power.
Going into the truck is a 427ci LSX shortblock built by Texas Speed. 226/230 115lsa comp hyd roller cam, TFS 245 heads and an LS2 intake manifold.
Exhaust is dual 3 inch downpipes going into a Magnaflow muffler with dual 3in inlets and a single 3.5in outlet.
Trans is a customer supplied Rossler 4L80E.
Rearend is a Strange 12-bolt with a tru-trac diff.
The stock front torsion bars and control arms were replaced with a coil over setup from RPM.
Turbo system consists of flipped/modded 2010 Camaro manifolds, Precision 6262 Ball bearing turbos, Precision wastegates and 2 Precision 500hp air/water intercoolers.
Fuel system is twin in-tank walbros, stock fuel lines, 80lb injectors and will be ran with a stock PCM and HP Tuners 3bar speed density operating system.

no,i looked inside of it and it has a very nice stamped "Y" inside of it that look like it will flow very well, not to mention this isnt a full bore max effort race car so some sacrifices in the system are ok,he simply wants a fast very streetable car,and this fits the bill perfectly

bring me one and ill do it and as cool as the V6's in these are you can argue with the reliabilty of the LS platform for making power,I have over 15k and at least 25 mid 9sec passes on mine and have only changed the oil regularly and spark plugs one time,I would like to see a V6 truck make the same claims

Cool build. Looks like it's too late but there have been a lot of problems with the Tru-tracs. Mine went out soon after the install. After reading about all the problems in the drivetrain section here I went with a Wave-trac and the car has been fine since.

thanks but we have used them in nearly every high hp car we have built and have not had a single failure to date, including out old shop car that we took on drag week and averaged 8.66@163mph I believe we drove over 1500 miles that week and made at least 15 passes
