I do agree though..Kinda like the 235/245 that come on the GT's.

Man what a steal!!!! 55k for a base optioned 2013 GT500 without tax,tags title, or dealer mark up..........ZL1 comes standard with way more then the Gt500 for 55k. Add two options, Recaros and NAV to the Gt500 and your already at the 60k mark.

from what i read in motor trend...the ZL1 kicked the boss 302 to the curb, but that wasn't the shelby...soooo gonna be interesting...they ran a 12.1@117...and car & driver ran a 12.3@119 both for the ZL1...not that bad, but i wanted 11's...i think the shelby will take it the 1/4...but everything else should go chevy's way....heard that the ZL1 is 5 steps over a SS...both nice cars though...the boss ran a 12.4 not at all bad considering it's smaller N.A. engine...the shelby is the better looking ford though in my eye's...

To his credit, it's going to be poorly equipped in the tire department (considering the numbers this thing is laying down). It will be interesting to see just what it can do. It will be even more interesting to see how GM responds with the 2013 ZL1.

The one I built on Ford.com was laoded for 62k...Do sam ething with a ZL1 and they are still even priced. Not sure about Gm but you can still get X Plan pricing on the GT500 which will save a few grand. Not even sure if I can get employing pricing on the ZL1 for my wife working for GM.

However, I am interested to see how the cars stack up against each other. Dad said he would buy me a brand new Camaro SS when I graduate (December 2013), but I'm not sure if I want one... Maybe when it uses the Alpha platform in like 2015... but even then I doubt it'll shed more than 150lbs

The foxbody with the IRS actually has better traction now than before. There's a turbo foxbody running around here with an IRS setup and also has pretty kick ass traction.
These are not TRACK cars. They are street race cars and the streets here are not comparable to yours in the US.

The foxbody with the IRS actually has better traction now than before. There's a turbo foxbody running around here with an IRS setup and also has pretty kick ass traction.
These are not TRACK cars. They are street race cars and the streets here are not comparable to yours in the US.

I think differnet area's will have different mark ups.

On side note for ZL1 dealer wife works at just got a notice that they are behind on shipping them out as they had put production on hold for a minute...BUt t hey shoudl still get the ones they have do in before August.

It already has. He use to spin more than me on 220treadware 21s. The streets here require 40 or below literally. Now with the IRS he spins with me and I can't even get one car on him from a dig. Before I would get 2-3 until he'd hook up and it was game over.

The turbo foxbody also has a similar setup. It was running at 500rwhp or something like that and now owner claims to have 750. 302 stroked 331 with some little turbo pushing 20psi..... Absolutely clueless on setup or numbers but he's going to run me next week so we will see what's up.

Also got a run with a cammed/tuned c6z06 on tuesday/wednesday.

2SS, have you seen the dyno sheet for the turbo fox? Those blocks dont do too well over 500hp, with it at 750 that thing is a time bomb with a pretty short fuse if its not an aftermarket block.

Btw, just wondering but are in Brazil? Ive seen you mention youre in South America and something like the third world sucks?

Speaking stock vs stock the ZL1 will likely get to 60 faster and after that the gt500 will pull with a slight hp advantage and 270lb less weight. Lets all not forget how FORD likes to advertise hp a little bit high while CHEVY usually down plays the hp numbers a little bit so not to piss off the vette owners. I think the Horsepower will actually be very close on a dyno, but the weight advantage will give the Gt500 an advantage....

I see mustangs at track days all over.... not so many camaros but mustangs of all gens are out at nearly every even i've been to.

I have started to see some 5th gen camaros at some events, but i think those are a better starting point then the camaros that came before it for a easy track vehicle.

Far as racking it does come with one. The SVT package gets upgraded clutch and such.
