Default who tp get an ls3 from

im looking around for a 418/416 ls3 i have been mainly looking at companies, 1st question is has anyone gotten a motor from hinson super cars? their short blocks sounds good but i cant get any info about them, then lme i know a few people have had issues with them but many have had great luck with them so my other question is who would you recomend, and sorry if this is iin the wrong place thanks

Hinson gave me good coustomer service when I ordered parts. But idk about getting a motor.

Texas Speed has done good work with motors from what I've heard.

I'd knock the surface rust off the top of those pistons.

LOL, it sort of does look like rust, huh? It's actually a coating.

The thermal barrier crown coating is applied to the top of the piston and is designed to reflect heat into the combustion chamber, thereby increasing exhaust gas velocity and greatly improving scavenging potential. It can also assist in extending piston life by decreasing the rate of thermal transfer.

The skirts are also coated with a lubricating, anti-friction / anti-wear coating

really nice motor, op are you dead set on a ls3? ls3 is a badass motor , i havent priced one out yet but what are they going for these days?i would love to buy an lsx454

Yeah I'm wanting to go with ls3 just so many choices it's difficult to choose so I'm tryin to find customer feed back.. Every website can make a motor look and sound badass.

A stock ls3 usually runs 3,000-4,000$ right now depending on your source.
