Default no oil pressure

Not getting any oil pressure. Filter filled up, took it off, then started it again, oil shot out, took valve cover off, n no oil up there. What seems to be my problem?

Put a ms3 cam just ported n polished tha heads new valve seats dual valve springs ported oil pump from texas speed ls7 lifters thunder racing 7.4 chromoly pushrods dual timing chain new main and crank bearings. Had normal oil pressure always just above 40 at idle when stock... engine is at 115000. This was first start up after swap. So no oil pressure on new parts. Did three 5 second runs n nothing. I would shut it off to prevent further damage to engine if any.

either you didn't get the pick up tube oring in right or it just hasn't had time to get up top yet i would pull the plugs disconnect the coil packs and pull the injector fuses and crank on it for a while and see if it primes

yep! pressurize it first before you try to run it. something i never knew about until this last week. who installed everything and did they mic the bearings and verify everything was within tolerance????? if they put the bearings in wrong you can block the oil passage holes and you'll get no oil pressure . . . better hope it's not that cause the engine will come right back out and apart again not too much work but takes time to check things if you want it to last

Sry I'm kinda havin the same problem right now with the whole no oil pressure thing but idk how to start a new thread on my phone. But I think I threw a rod and was wondering if that could be a reason I'm not getting any oil pressure. If someone can get back with me on this I'd appreciate it. Thanks
