Went to Muncie tonight to get my tune freshened up. Ran two times and called it a night. Was super pumped with the results for a slowwwww LS1 gto. 12.3 at 115!

Only mods are
K&n cold air
Eps cam
Pacesetters
Catless x
Slp lm1
B&m shifter


Still on stock clutch as well! Just figured I'd share! I'll post the slip later

I'm hoping with the gto spares on the front and a little better 60 and possibly take some more weight out I'm hoping for a high 11. I was stoked with this run.

Your car is strong as hell from half track on.. Haven't seen many cars pick up 29mph from the 1/8 to the finish. Congrats on the strong pass.

Yeah for some reason it starts to pull really hard up top. I was pretty impressed. There was also a head wind, so that wasn't helping. It wasn't insane but it was still blowing a bit.

Wow nice times! I wish mine ran that good.. I have a '04 with a 3200 stall, TSP 233/239 cam etc etc and my best is 12.91 at 105. It should run alot better but I haven't figured out why :-/

Check your tune, before mine got touched up it was super rich like 10 to 1 Afr and made 375 with a broken plug and wire and was only trapping 110ish.

Thanks! I think there's a little more left in it as well. Hoping for a real low 12 or 11.99. Going to wait til later on in the season and drive the car like I hate it at the track. For now, time to hit the streets. Lmao

lol i cant stress enough how strong of a pass that is with those mods.. I had a pass almost identical to that in my 04 A4 but from the 1/8 mile on your car is pulling insanely hard. Here's a slip to compare yours to. 1st half of the track almost identical...

Ya, the 3.90s would definitely help but i wouldn't say it should make a 7mph trap difference. I was on stock 3.46 and still am. You running the stock 241 casting head and ls6 intake?

When u trapped 90 in the 1/8 was that with your custom made cai? Jw because im thinking if he junked his kn and went with yours his car would run even better. Seems almost impossible for the OP's car to run that strong with a junk cai. I also have the same problem though.

An '04 is not the same as a '06 and autos generally run much better ETs and slower traps than a stick. Without knowing his DA and yours it's all a guess.

Pretty good time. I ran similar to that when I had the baby of all cams in mine, LPE GT2-3. But I swapped to LS6 heads. They got me .2 sec as I went 12.5@110 with just the cam and 12.3@112 after the head swap.

That was the last time mine went down the track :( Oct 06. It has had two more cam swaps and still haven't been back.

Heads/headwork will pick it up to 12.0 or better.

Realistically if your car traps 115 now thats capable of high 11s. So you add ported 243s and spray id say you could have a shot at a 10 second pass depending on the port job and how big of a shot your putting on it.

Getting the 243s cncd and probably start off on a 100 shot then pill up when I am used to it. Probably won't spray until second gear though. Unless I get ballsy. Remember this is all stock clutch and rear lol!

Most of the 6.0 GTO guys that talk smack don't really know cars that well. They're usually the ones that hand their car off to their builder to put on all the parts they bought that had the biggest specs. 18 cubes is the difference at the end of the day (and no drive by wire issues). Driver skill is a bigger determiner than that.

I just cant afford to break and axle again or driveshaft. That's why I haven't borrowed or bought some slicks to see what she runs. I do have a new clutch now so maybe that'll help some too

Pick up a spare half shaft to take to the track. They're cheap. If you bust a rear CV it's a 45 min job and your can swap out the half shaft and drive home.

Yes slayer I do. And svede my busy just upgraded to gforce stuff so I will be snatching his stock stuff. Got an offer to sell my nitrous kit so I might do that and buy a clutch or wheels. Not too sure what I want to do yet. Decisions lol. I really like to try to get a 11 as is if possible.

I notice the attitude started over on LS1gto.com years ago and was never stifled by the moderators so that now it has become customary and cool to condescend/diminish LS1 equipped GTOs. Typically it was voiced by the more obnoxious Lounge lizard types compensating for I do not know what.
