Up for sale is a like new GZ race vacuum pump with 6 rib pulley, purpose built baffled catch can, fittings and hose. If you're building a boosted LSx, you need a vacuum pump to keep from blowing your front/rear seals as well as ovalizing your cylinders or breaking ringlands. It's common to pick up 50-75rwhp with these as there is much improved ring seal and negative crankcase pressure. This setup has 1 hr total run time - most of it being at idle. It is like new. No brackets included - they are inexpensive and available from GZ motorsports.

VP104N New Design "Super Pro" Series Vacuum Pump, Tested at 33 CFM@5090 RPM, 24” hg. Inlet & Outlet on side of pump. Pulley and brackets not included. 6.5 lbs $419.00

Aluminum 2.5" Diameter x 9" Tall Double Baffled Breather Tank with 1/2 NPTF welded inlet boss on each side perpendicular to the mounting plate. A K&N type filter and clamp are provide along with an easy to use 1/4" pipe drain. Comes with (1) #10AN straight fitting and (1) pipe plug. The attached mounting bracket has (4) 1/4" holes designed to bolt to a flat surface. 2 lbs. $89.00

So total shipped new was $655 +fittings and hose =$695. Will let go for $550 shipped.

damn, id love to snag this..

did you end up going with a bigger pump for the rx7? decide one wasnt necessary for the mile?

These are definitely necessary for any big boosted LS setup -they tend to build alot of crankcase pressure and blow stuff up as a result. I'm changing my setup a bit and no longer need this.

A vacuume pump will benefit ANY motor; ls in particular due to shortcomings in crankcase ventilation. This is especially beneficial when you using a power adder such as nitrous or boost.

There are a few different locations you can place it. The brackets they sell on the GZ motorsports site are cheap - like $30 ish.

FWIW, this particular pump has been recommended for 750hp+ applications. 400HP-700HP has a different P/N recommendation. http://www.gzmotorsports.com/vacuum-pump-guide.html
