debating on switching my 96 camaro dash to a firebird......
other then the obvious dash assembly and cluster what all would i need from the donor car....will my airbag work in a newer firebird dash....
do you guys feel this is a worthwhile swap or would i be in for more then i cn chew type of deal...everything else in the interior was already swapped for a ebony firebird interior but the dash....any input

all panels and seats....had a tan interior which i hated since day one so i swapped for ebony t/a seats and panels...now i have a full ebony interior which is much better on my eyes but am trying to decide if i want the dash to so i can have full firebird interior with my camaro ext

so everything is swapable?? what year firebird will swap into a 94 camaro??? and you have a stock firebird middle concel with a camaro dash?? did they line up good?

there is a junk yard thats local that you pull the parts your self. i can get everything for about $250 on the inside

Seats and panels swap over for the most part.... Door panels have different mounting points but can be made to fit... Power mirror controls need reworking to function... I still have the 96 console and dash... The console is different because of the koby hole but the mounts are the same

couldn't you just do a 97-02 camaro dash? it's almost like the trans am dash.

Yes I could do the camaro one but I like the round firebird vents and it will make my whole interior a bird style... Past that I'd just leave it the camaro dash I have instead of just updating to a newer one

I did it. You need all the dash pieces, and the hvac ducting from behind the dash. You will need to get a cluster/wiring connector from a 97 car. I had it all done in one day, the hardest part is wiring for the cluster. If you do a search there are some great pics of the wiring and also a great cardomain page that shows the swap.
