I would imagine those users serious enough to switch to a TH400 would realize it makes more sense to replace the 10-bolt first.

x2 if you have the power that requires a th400. a 10 bolt make it to the 60ft cone.

Im still on a 10 bolt with my car. Had a local shop build a driveshaft for it. 47 1/2" is what the final length ended up being and I used a UMI crossmember with a poly mount.

I just recently installed a th350 short tail trans with a bmr cross member made for the 350. As for the drive shaft I ordered one from spohn that was already the correct length for the short tail with the 1350 u-joint. However after a few things came up, I have had to push my 12 bolt rear end off for about a month and now picked up a Napa joint to use with my stock rear end to get the car rolling for the initial tuning process.

ok, how did that work out for you. I know the 350 and 400 are different overall length or I would ask you what the shaft length was.

It works great so far. I have my tune scheduled for this Thursday so I will be putting some miles on it afterwards for sure. As for the shaft length I'm not for certain, I can try to measure it the week for you though. Here's the link to the shaft I bought. Biggest reason was most people wanted $350+ just to lenghten the sticker for me around here. Quality of the shaft is great though.

That was measured without a yoke...from the back of the trans to the rear yoke on the diff.
